Chain & the Gang at the Black Cat in DC. This shot is unbelievable! I love photos of Ian jumping—so much energy!

Thank you Washington DC for such good music and hardcore music and post-hardcore music.
Pardon my soapbox, but every minute this budget debate goes longer is another moment some kid somewhere in a city or in the country is poor and starving. A true politician with the interests of the people would ignore the party lines and think about the jobless and the hungry. It’s incredible that even the most respected of our elected officials cannot stand up and say “enough is enough, the American people need this budget”. Clearly, nobody has balls in Washington right now (except for non-government folk and post-hardcore bands).
Words Americans use to describe the federal budget debate.

Uhh very excited to be seeing this band next week for the first time in several years. First time I saw them was in a rec room at Rutgers New Brunswick opening for Alkaline Trio in like 2000. That’s kind of embarrassing. Last time I saw them was their last show in Philly at the TLA, like half the other people that will be at this show.
