This whole Ticketmaster/Live Nation business is pretty scary. The last time I called Ticketmaster I was rejected for Jimmy Eat World “Clarity x10″ tickets, right after they went on sale. That show is tonight, and I just heard “Lucky Denver Mint” on the radio. I know some of you kids know exactly what I’m talking about here.
This morning at 4 a.m., the finest in morning news broadcast journalism started blaring down from a mysterious TV set upstairs. I thought about what would happen if I raced upstairs and told “loud tv guy” to cut the decibels. Who needs to listen to TV news that loud at 4 in the morning, and laugh at it? And what about those weird, bathroom water-running noises?
I bet there is some ambient electronic duo out there somewhere that uses bathroom water-running noises as a base for all their instruments.
